A to Z started as a dream, that one day we would have the opportunity to raise our children around animals, know a hard day's work, and give back to the community. Ben & Christy both have roots in the animal industry and dreamed that one day they would be able to share their love of ranch life with others.
Ben
Owner, Founder, & Head Trainer
Ben's life has always involved horses and livestock. He was raised on a hog farm, his grandfather owned a cattle ranch, and riding has always been a way of life. Ben has been a farrier and equine podiatrist for over 20 years. Ben has been starting and training horses since he was a very young man. He has a strong foundation in The Old Vaquero ways and has successfully trained all aspects of western horses from Cutters to Reiners, Western Pleasure to Ropers. He prides his work on soft, light, responsive, and willing equine partners. It's definitely an art form and a gift that Ben has harnessed. Ben also has experience starting and training carriage driving horses and ponies.
